Needing a space – for vehicles
The executive director of the Oregon Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, who performed at the bridge opening, lives on Gillihan Road. The Corps just got back yesterday from competing across the United States and came in fourth (WOW!) in the open class division at the Drum Corps International competition in Indiana. This is the best finish in the history of the Oregon Crusaders. With just 62 students, they competed against 29 other corps. Oregon and the Pacific Northwest should be proud of this group of dedicated kids and instructors. It is quite an endeavor to prepare and move a group this size across country. It all starts with weekend camps in the fall of each year and culminates with a two week trip to nationals. Long story short, this group needs a place to store their trailers that is close and convenient for them. Sauvie Island would be perfect if someone had space for one 45-foot trailer, one 24-foot trailer, one 15 passenger van and one 10 -foot trailer. They don’t all have to go to the same spot. If possible, one trailer needs a receptacle to keep the dehumidifier running.
